A long top of solid merapi, spanning two plank legs.
The legs are boards left as boards.
Supporting a top across a plane is more straightforward than standing four thin legs under it — and with nothing beneath the top, chairs slide all the way in.
The top runs 2000mm.
Six can sit and still leave room for a dish in the middle.
A clear oil finish, no film — the bare wood meets your hand.
It darkens and gains sheen with use.
Stripped of ornament, it settles into any interior.
