古い木とブリキを、額のかたちに組み直しました．
沖縄の家屋を解体したときに出る木材と、屋根や壁に張られていたブリキ．
雨と潮を受けて色が変わり、錆が浮いたところをそのまま使います．
塗り直さず、削り落とさず、そこにあった時間を残しました．
枠の幅も、色の残り方も、一本ずつ違います．
同じものは作れません．
中に入れるものは選びません．
版画、デッサン、写真、押し花、拾った葉．
ブリキの一枚をそのまま納めることもあります．
サイズはご希望に合わせてお作りします．

Old timber and tin, rebuilt as frames.
The wood comes from houses taken down in Okinawa; the tin from the roofs and walls that covered them.
Rain and salt have changed the colour and raised the rust, and we leave both as they are — nothing repainted, nothing sanded away.
The width of each frame and the way the colour has held differ piece by piece.
No two are the same.
What goes inside is up to you: a print, a drawing, a photograph, a pressed flower, a leaf picked up somewhere.
A single sheet of tin, framed on its own, works as well.
Frames are made to your dimensions.
