A frame of reclaimed pine, built around a mirror.
Nothing is painted on.
The colour of the wood, the knots, the marks from its earlier life all stay as they are.
In time it darkens with the sun.
It stands 1700mm — leaned against a wall, the whole body fits with room to spare.
It can also be hung.
The round of a knot, the difference in colour from board to board: that is the face of the frame.
No two are alike.
What it holds keeps changing — light from a window, a plant set down, someone passing.
A mirror puts a second view into a room.
